Join artist and musician Tiffany Lin in a hands-on collage workshop where we'll take an organic, automatic approach to image making. Using found text, images, and monoprinting techniques, we'll create poems and images loosely inspired by ornithology (the study of birds), though participants are welcome to explore other subjects.Presented by Dear Butte and Imagine Butte Resource Center!
Tiffany Lin is an interdisciplinary artist working at the cross section of graphic narrative, social practice, and performance. She is compelled by the interplay of gravitas and humor, human instincts versus institutions, and anxious visions of dystopia. She is the lead vocalist of the Los Angeles art-punk outfit Shoe Shopping.
Lin holds a MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Illustration Practice and a BA in Gender & Women's Studies and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Otis College of Art and Design.
