About this Event
You know how to play. You love the game. But finding people you actually want to sit across a table from for three hours, that part has never quite worked out.
Maybe the table dissolved. Maybe you've been scrolling through Discord servers and open game nights, hoping something clicks. Maybe you've stopped trying altogether, and you're watching Critical Role instead, because at least that table was built right.
Found Party is for you.
This isn't a random D&D night. You take a short quiz. We do the matchmaking. You just show up.
Your table is matched with players who will enjoy the same game as you.
On May 16th, we're running a single evening of custom, found-family themed D&D one-shots in Burbank.
Small tables. GMs who get you (and have run hundreds of games). Built around a compatibility quiz that tells us exactly how you play.
May 16th. Burbank. Your Found Party is waiting.
I built this because I needed it.
I'm Astro, been a player and a GM for years. I got tired of watching good players come and go because the table was wrong for them. They weren't bad players, it was just the wrong fit.
So, I built a quiz. Tested it with my own group. My girlfriend was certain that she knew what kind of player sher war. The quiz told her something instead that she couldn't have told me herself. And the same thing happened for all five of my players. I had never once known exactly the game they wanted. Now, I could build it for them.
It landed exactly as hard as it was supposed to be. Nobody got stuck. They didn't check their phones. We finished the one-shot, and they were still buzzing about it.
That's what Found Party is built on. It's not just vibes, but a system I've tested with real players at a real table.
What players said after taking the quiz:
"Thank you for sharing. I did the quiz and really enjoyed it. Came out as EAPPl. Showed my GM my scores & he agrees" — nyxeratops
"Made it easier to understand, hands down." — D&D GM, after seeing their results
"Yes I am a storyteller, guilty as charged" - Co-host of the Sidequests Podcast
How It Works
When you buy a ticket, you'll complete a short personality quiz built for D&D players. It tells us how you like to play, what kind of story you want, and what kind of energy you bring to the table.
We use that to build your table from scratch.
Who This Is For
You've tried r/lfg. You've gone to open tables. Something was always slightly off. The energy, the tone, the person who wanted to do a boss rush but ended up running a political intrigue game. You know the feeling.
Found Party is intentionally small. 16 spots. It's built for people who keep not finding the right table.
No experience requirement. Pre-generated characters are provided for all Standard and Early Bird tickets. If you know the game, great. If you're returning after a long break, you're in good hands.
The Founding Cohort comes with something you keep.
Every Premium seat includes a serialized hard enamel challenge coin. Each one is serialized and limited to 25. Your coin marks the night this all started, paired with a message on the back for your keepsake.
Also included: A signed Founding Deed, and a 1-on-1 character build session with your matched GM before the night begins.
