Doors open at 6:30 pm, we start 7 pm.
We kindly ask our visitors for a voluntary contribution of 6/8 Euros.

PHOTOBOOK STRATEGIES
Photography and book format can complement each other in many creative ways. From self-published zines to artist’s books in very small editions to elaborately produced splendid volumes, the sequenced, bound, reproduced images have a special fascination for authors and readers.

TALK
At FOTOTREFF #41 the artist duo Claudio Pogo and Magdalena Wysocka (Outer Space Press) talk with artist, photographer and photo editor Chantal Seitz about their motivation for, experience with and passion for the photobook.
Magdalena Wysocka and Claudio Pogo are an artist duo working in the fields of photography, appropriation and archives. Their practice integrates various related media, encompassing monoprints, photographic ‘ready-mades,’ objects, and artists’ books. Wysocka (* 1987) earned her MA in Printmaking (2012). Pogo (*1978) studied fine arts and photography in Bremen and founded PogoBooks Publishing in Berlin in 2010.
Since 2016, they have been publishing their works through Outer Space Press (OSP), a small press distinguished in the field of photobooks for its hybrid approach — designing and producing their titles entirely in-house.
OSP books are included in prestigious collections such as MoMA and The MET amongst others.
Chantal Seitz (*1993) lives in Berlin and works as a photo editor, among other things for the crime magazine Zeit Verbrechen. She studied photojournalism and documentary photography in Hanover. In collaboration with Collin Davis, she publishes the photobook “Stay Safe Out There” in 2024 by DISTANZ Verlag. Their joint book project was nominated for the DUMMY AWARD and featured in the photo-special edition of ZEITmagazin.

In the second part of the evening, authors, artists, editors and designers present a variety of photobooks of all kinds in our first time ever Photobook-Walk. Come, browse, discuss and be inspired.
