So many people always say they can't foster because they worry that it will be too hard, and that they will want to keep all the cats. Honestly, in the beginning it is hard. But once you see how rewarding it is to be involved in helping a cat find a better life, it gets easier. As a Tennessee Whiskers foster, you will be surrounded by a team of people helping you all the way! This time of year you start to see all the posts of rescues begging for fosters. I don't think people understand that without fosters, rescues can't exist. Fostering literally saves lives! We are already at the start of kitten season, and there is never a shortage of cats that need help. As a new rescue, we have an urgent need to find new fosters for both adult cats and kittens. The rescue covers the cost of all supplies and vetting. You just need a room in your home to keep your foster kitty separated from any other animals during the initial intake period. You also need time each day to love and socialize the kitties in your care. Foster times will vary, but typically it’s 1-3 months. We can also use short term fosters! We are excited to be hosting our first ever Foster Fair for Tennessee Whiskers Cat Rescue on Sunday, March 9th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
If you've ever thought about fostering, this is your chance to come and meet our team, learn about the process, and ask all the questions you need to get involved and help us save lives! You must be at least 21 years old to foster.
The class will be approximately one hour at Catfeine Cat Cafe. This is a free event, but you must book your spot online to attend.
There are limited spots available, so serious inquiries only please.
We hope to see you there.❤️🐈
