The Department of Peace, Human Rights & Cultural Relations, in partnership with AU’s Women, Peace, and Security Chapter, invites you to a special event in recognition of International Women’s History Month.
Join us for a compelling conversation on peace, justice, and resilience in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This forum will explore the impact of conflict on women and communities, highlighting how justice advocates, civil socties, and grassroots leaders are promoting women’s rights, supporting survivors of sexual violence, and fostering healing, autonomy, and self-determination.
Speakers:
- Samuel Yagase – Co-founder & Coordinator, Group of Village Organizations for Autonomous Development
- Justine Masika Bihamba – Founding Member & Chair, Women’s Synergy Platform for Victims of Sexual Violence (SFVS)
Engage with leaders working on the frontlines of the conflict and learn how communities, intellectuals, and traditional leaders are turning pain into collective action for justice and empowerment.
