Create Academy are on a mission to inspire the nation to discover their creative side with beautifully curated video courses, giving unprecedented access to the UK's best designers, makers, gardeners and chefs.
To celebrate Craft Week 2024, Fortnum’s are partnering with Create Academy to offer 5 incredible makers the opportunity to demonstrate their talents in a series of hands-on workshops all themed around the dining table.
Discover the lost art of flower pressing to create beautiful dried flower place cards with Melissa Richardson and Amy Fielding, founders of flower pressing studio, JamJar Edit. Experts when it comes to preserving the beauty of nature, Melissa and Amy will share how they have reinvented the traditional art of flower pressing into a very modern craft form.
JamJar was established in 2009 by Melissa Richardson, who previously founded and ran the successful London modelling agency Take Two for almost three decades. She is endlessly inspired by the changing seasons, and dedicated to using seasonal flowers (many grown at Jane Scotter's Fern Verrow), focusing on composition, colour and form.
All the materials you will need for the workshop are included in the ticket price.
