As the leaves continue to fall, it is just about time for "The ULTIMATE Halloween Themed Bowling Party" as "OctoberFest 2025" gets set to take center stage once again on Saturday & Sunday, October 25th & 26th, 2025 at Thunder Bowl I in Fort Wayne, Indiana.OCTOBERFEST 2025 RULES
1 – This is a co-ed Doubles Tournament Teams consist of 1 male and 1 female bowler. Event is open to ANY USBC SANCTIONED ADULT (NO YOUTH) BOWLERS.
2 – The tournament will be co-ed doubles (3) games only. Multiple participation shall be allowed by changing 1 person on team. Ten bowlers per lane, if practical.
3 – Bowlers must present proof of USBC membership if not a member of Fort Wayne Metro USBC Association. LOCAL DUES NOT REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION.
4 - Entrants will use their highest USBC sanctioned league average based on a minimum of 21 games of 2024-2025 season. If there is no “Yearbook Average,” bowler(s) MUST use highest current average as of time of bowling (MINIMUM 12 GAMES). All others will bowl scratch (MEN = 190 / WOMEN = 165). UPON REQUEST, BOWLERS MUST PROVIDE AVERAGE VERIFICATION.
5 – Handicap will be 100% of the difference between the combined averages (women + man) and 400.
6 – Bowlers are responsible for verifying their own average, whether submitted by the bowler, or others. If the submitted average is lower than required and results in a lower classification or more handicap, the bowler's score WILL BE disqualified. If the submitted average is higher than required, prize winnings will be based on the submitted average
7 – All prize money will be returned 100% in prize list. Ratio of prizes shall not be less than a “1 in 5” ratio.
8 – NO-TAP FORMAT - All 9 pin counts on first ball are scored as a strike. All other leaves scored as normal.
9 – Entry fees must accompany entry. Your first choice will be given unless otherwise notified.
10 – Automatic scorers will be used as the official score sheet. Bowlers will certify their score as being correct at the completion of each game. This will be the only opportunity to correct any scoring error.
11 – Competition will be contested under a "Cosmic Bowling Atmosphere" with low lights, flashing lights, and music.
12 – ALL USBC RULES WILL BE IN EFFECT INCLUDING USBC RULE 303 (Right to refuse entry). Violation of tournament rules or USBC rules will carry the penalty of disqualification of the bowler with no refund.
