Fort Rickey was a significant British military outpost in the mid-1700s, strategically positioned to protect the western end of the Oneida Carrying Place. It served as the northern point of the Fort Stanwix Treaty Line of 1768. John Carmody from the Oneida Carry Research Group will share more about the history of the fort and these two waterways.
