In this dance workshop we'll discover together the joy of Forró's open position dancing. Open position movements are where Forró comes alive: playful spins, dynamic figures and the creative freedom that makes every dance unique.

This time we have invited a Brazilian guest teacher, Felipe Morato (ForródoBom) from Helsinki to join us! He has a very soft and inclusive teaching style, having 10 years of experience teaching Forró in Finland.
This workshop is perfect for adventurous, curious beginners and dancers ready to level up. No partner needed - we'll rotate throughout the workshop. Just decide your dancing role (leader/follower) and register through a link below.

🪇 Brazilian Festa is open for everyone and it will be lit up by Northern Carelia's new Forró band Trio Cotiporã (Juska Ojajärvi, Lindon Shimizu and Milla Mäkilä) having a short live music performance with some Forró classiques and contemporary tunes. It is a family-friendly event in which children are also welcome. It is a place to meet (new and old) friends, like-minded people living in the area, sharing the interest to Brazilian culture and dance.
☕️ This time the Brazilian Café will be serving alongside tea & coffee some crispy, filled tapioca crêpes with refreshing non-alcoholic drinks. Tapioca is a starch made from the root of cassava plant, which is naturally gluten-free. Bring cash or MobilePay.
