The forró fundamentals bootcamp is an intensive one-weekend course that covers the basics of forró, a captivating Brazilian couple dance (and a music genre), characterized by it’s playfullness and versatility! In this bootcamp we will be starting from the basic steps and techniques as well as diving into some fun figures and musicality to get you ready for the parties!

Baião Helsinki is a project founded by Johanna Alatalo and Suvi Lukka. At Baião Helsinki we wish to spread the joy of forró! One of our main focuses is on increasing dialogue in the dance, making the dance a conversation. In our classes we have a strong focus on technique and body awareness as well as on having fun dancing!
