The village of Spielberg turns into a true orange sea for three days, with the sound of roaring engines echoing through the mountains. The extremely hospitable village is ready to welcome the Orange Army again.
The track, the Red Bull Ring
The Austrian Grand Prix will be held at the Red Bull Ring. The circuit was built in 1969 and was named Österreichring at the time. Over the years, the circuit has been rebuilt and shortened several times. After the circuit had been out of use for some time, the circuit was revived in 2011 by Dietrich Mateschitz, the partial owner of Red Bull. Since then, the circuit has been renamed the Red Bull Ring. It is a circuit that is known for being very well laid out. As such, you can overlook a large part of the track from almost all place around the circuit.
Race weekend admission includes access to all practice sessions, qualifying and the race on Sunday.
Take a moment to relax
After an exciting race weekend, it is certainly advisable to stay a little longer and relax in this beautiful area. You can also easily make a day trip from Spielberg to the nearby city of Graz. It is a city where you will be overloaded with historical but also certainly modern sights.
