About this Event
Experience the world of artificial intelligence live and without prior knowledge! Our workshop allows you to create a thrilling battle scene with us and delve deeper into the topics of FSM (Finite State Machine), States and Behavior in Animator.
After a brief introduction to the topic, we will go straight to the easy-to-understand basics of AI in gaming. There we present various behavioral possibilities for virtual opponents and explain how FSM and states play a central role in this.
In the practical part, we work together to program behaviors for virtual opponents using FSM and states, with a focus on patrolling, pursuing and attacking. We will also integrate a player character and coordinate attack and defense strategies using Behaviour in Animator.
Together we create an entertaining combat scene in which the opponents can act in a meaningful way and interact with the player. The goal is to create a gripping scene in which the player either emerges victorious by surviving the opponents, or a loser by being defeated by the virtual adversaries.
Don't worry if you have no previous experience - the workshop is open to everyone. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
