Forget-Me-Not Event

Forget-Me-Not is a healing event for those impacted by child death and everyone interested in partnering to create a community of support for children, parents, and families in Spokane.
Participants will:

• Learn how trees and green spaces benefit community mental health.
• Review Spokane Regional Health District’s Child Fatality Review (CFR), including current prevention recommendations and how we can all help prevent future child deaths.
• Develop skills to recognize emotions during grief and find ways to support themselves and others after a child’s death.
• Consider potential funding and partnership opportunities for future Forget Me Not initiatives.
  

Attendees will also be able to participate in an honorary tree-planting ceremony for every child whose death is reviewed through the CFR .
