About Forge Theater Labs
Based in Portland, Forge Theater Labs is a creative platform and incubator for emerging artists. The organization explores theater history, theatrical innovation, and artists' perspectives by hosting labs, producing scripted performances, and presenting artist conversations live and distributed globally.
About Maine Playwrights Festival (MPF)
MPF's mission is to develop, celebrate, and champion the work of Maine playwrights. MPF curates an annual festival of fully produced short works and staged readings. Writers of all experience levels are invited to submit to the festival. MPF values community, collaboration, communication, inclusivity, and equity, and strives to uphold these values in each area of our work. Each year, 6–8 short plays are selected by a committee of readers for production at the festival. The selected plays enter a development and production process with a dramaturg, director, and actors. The process culminates in a fully produced festival each spring.
All Forge Theater Labs events in 2026 are pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $25. Space is limited. RSVP in the link below to ensure you have a spot.

Season 0 episodes are available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and more. Season 1 will launch on streaming in March 2026.
