About this Event
The workshop will begin with a tour of the farm where our fall harvest will be in full swing. During this workshop we will be learning how to build beautiful floral wearables and floral garlands using both fresh and dried flowers. From flower crowns and headbands to floral jewelry such as corsages, rings, necklaces, or floral tattoos, you can design and create whatever suits your fancy. With the holidays just around the corner, you can create pieces to accent your holiday costumes and finery.
As we walk the fields we will share the secrets of choosing and preparing fresh flowers for use in wearables and we will also share how we for select, grow and dry the best varietals for wearable dried flowers. Following the tour we will gather on our event patio for a demonstration on how to create your own beautiful and unique wearables. We will have you start by making a floral garland for decorating your home or personal spaces and then we will move into designing the wearables of your choice. As always, we will have delicious farm crafted snacks and homemade strawberry lemonade to enjoy. We will provide all of the tools and materials you will need for creating your own unique wearables.
*Open to everyone – this is a fun and supportive atmosphere. Because we will be touring the farm, we will encounter uneven and varied terrain. While we often farm in sandals, we recommend you wear shoes you would feel comfortable getting muddy. Our event patio is accessible and level, but is a wood mulched surface. Dress in layers as the temperatures and weather are very unpredictable and it can be sunny and warm just as easily as wet, cold, and windy.

*Workshop must have at least 4 people in order to run. If not fulfilled, we will let you know with plenty of lead time and offer either a refund or placement in another workshop of your choice.
