About this Event
We will be working at our reforestation site at Dairy Farm Nature Park, where we experimented with a novel Applied Nucleation planting method that clusters seedlings instead of spreading them out uniformly. This is meant to spur seedling growth and lower competition between dispersed seeds. Since our Tree Planting session in 2024, the saplings here have grown well, but weeds like Mimosa are hindering their growth.
Join us as we continue to care for our saplings by conducting periodic maintenance (i.e. weeding) to help them grow better.
This is a great opportunity to spend a morning outdoors, learn about forest restoration, and contribute to Singapore’s biodiversity efforts. We are beginner-friendly, and all are welcome to join!
