Forest Yoga with Meesha Sharma ~ Founder of Alchemystic Studio

This Forest Yoga class with special guest Meesha Sharma, founder of Alchemystic Studio, is set in the Joaquin Miller in Oakland, CA.

In traditional yogic terms: Meesha comes from a saṃpradāya (lineage) of Nath Yogis and Vedic scholars. Their classes are a space to learn Shaiva-Shakta Tantra philosophy (how to apply yoga philosophy in daily life), āsana (physical practice of yoga), prāṇāyāma (breath work), and dhyāna (meditation). Meesha's Kuladaivaṃ (lineage deity) is Ardanarishvara (a two spirit representation of ShivaShakti). Additionally, she will be offering a small lecture on Queer Hindu mythology ❤️‍🩹

2:05-2:15PM ~ Hike to Yoga Destination

2:15-2:45PM ~ Settling + Queer Hindu Mythology

2:45-4PM ~ Asana (movement), Pranayama (breath work) + Mantra Chanting + Savasana

Accessibility:

~ Please test for COVID before class and mask days leading up to the event.

~ The hike to our ‘classroom’ is about 5-10 minutes away from the trail head on both paved and muddy trails. Please expect some moderate uphill and downhill walking. The trail can be bumpy and uneven, please wear appropriate shoes to navigate. We can move as quick or as slow as the community needs.

~ There is plenty of parking - often with a small drop from the main road.

~ There is very little cell service, carpooling is recommended as it is difficult to call a car from the site.

Donation based class. $40 suggested donation.
