About this Event
Hope is not the belief that everything will be fine. Hope is the decision to pay attention anyway—to what persists, what returns, what grows in the cracks.
This mid-April forest walk explores hope. Through slow walking and contemplative writing, we'll learn what the forest knows about resilience: not the brittle kind that refuses to bend, but the responsive kind that dies back, waits, and re-emerges when conditions allow.
The forest in April offers evidence of continuation—unfurling ferns, greening canopy, birdsong. We'll practice writing from this attention, documenting what's actually here without extracting lessons or manufacturing positivity. You'll learn techniques for hope that holds complexity, that refuses both despair and naivety.
This 90-minute experience welcomes anyone navigating uncertainty. Bring layered, comfortable clothing, notebook, whatever heaviness you're carrying.
Sometimes hope is being in nature with strangers who also showed up.
