Earthed Forest School offers a child-centred approach, where participants can learn through self-directed play and exploration. Time in nature develops resilient learners who gain confidence through hands-on experience and with time, develop a fundamental relationship with nature and all aspects of life around them.Three, one day workshops are being offered in collaboration with the multi-talented Julian Briggs with the opportunity of further running a full term for T3 or 4. This gives families the opportunity to have a taster day. Julian is a forest school teacher, arborist, earth builder with exquisite wood crafting skills and has lots of experience leading bush youth clubs.
Some activities we can do on the day are:
∞ Bush and stream exploration
∞ Nature identification - the importance of various trees and plants
∞ Building dens and other structures
∞ Fire
∞ Wood whittling and use of tools
∞ Natural art and crafts using either items from the forest floor and natural materials
∞ Circle/reflection time
