Forest School for Grown Ups: Befriending Bugs
Ok, ok, we know not all insects are actually bugs, but in this session you'll get to know them all. Bust myths about these tiny critters and get a closer look at some, both the charismatic pollinators and the creepy crawlies. You'll leave with a new appreciation for their beauty and role in the environment.
🐞 What to Expect:
- Intro to ID – Get to know common insect families and the names of insect body parts.
- Community Connection – Build community others interested in nature through collaborative activities and discussion.
- Field Walk – Head out for a closeup look at insects in the environment in different stages of their life cycles.
No prior knowledge is required—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore together.

📍Location: Pine Camp, will share meetup location after registration
🎟️ Tickets: $10-$25, sliding scale. Spots are limited!
🔹 Who Should Come? Anyone curious about getting to know our local birds. This one's for the grown-ups, but folks of any age accompanied by a parent/guardian are welcome.
🔹 What to Bring? Comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a water bottle, and a sense of wonder. If you have a hand lens, you're welcome to bring it, but we'll have some to share.
