About this Event
This Forest School experience is for adoptive and kinship care families. It is suitable for children aged 6-12.
Forest Schools are nature-based communities where trained practitioners nurture learner-led exploration and discovery, nurturing meaningful experiences for positive lifelong impacts.
Wellbeing is the foundation of our practice and through recognising the social, emotional and physical needs of participants we provide the guidance and facilitation for our time in nature.
Through creating learner inspired experiences based on exploration and discovery, we recognise opportunities to mentor holistic growth.
Erdkinder Forest School is a well established school with it's lead practitioner trained to Level 3 Forest School certification. It operates out of Holyrood Park in Edinburgh.
There are 12 places available on each day. There is a charge to attend but please do get in touch with Anna should this be a barrier to your child's attendance.
Forest School is based outdoors and runs rain or shine. Please ensure your child is prepared for all weathers and brings refreshments and a snack or two. Representatives of Adoption UK Scotland will be in attendance each day as well as Erdkinder staff.
Parents are welcome to stay or leave their children during Forest School.
