Step into the woods of imagination and sculpt your own Forest Mystic — a whimsical creature with antlered charm. In this hands-on workshop, Jeff will guide you through the art of masking tape sculpting, teaching foundational techniques for shaping character and personality into your sculpture. Using simple materials like masking tape, paper, wire, and glass marbles for the eyes, you’ll bring to life a one-of-a-kind sculpture that feels like it wandered out of a storybook. Each sculpture will stand approximately 7 inches tall.This class is open to all skill levels, whether you’re new to sculpting or an experienced artist exploring a fresh, accessible medium. Jeff’s teaching style is relaxed and conversational, encouraging creative freedom and personal expression. By the end of class, you’ll have your own unique Forest Mystic masking tape sculpture and a take-home instructional guide for sealing and painting it with easy-to-find materials.
The class kicks off with a short tour of the ocasiocasa art studio, along with other artists’ studios within DAAS CO-OP Gallery and The Union Artist Studios at the Arts & Eats Café. Join Jeff for an enjoyable day of art and inspiration!
