Over a year ago, I started a child-led Forest Friends nature playgroup that met weekly. We went on hiatus mid-summer and fall as my family got busy traveling and homeschooling. We’re now starting back up again - this Friday January 3rd at the Stonehedge neighborhood entrance to Anadel. Free street parking and dogs on leash allowed.
We walk into the park a couple of hundred feet (stroller friendly) and set up our base camp at the first meadow on the left. From there, we explore in any direction the children take us. All ages and siblings welcome.
Bring your rain gear and muck boots. In the spirit of forest schools, we meet rain or shine! There is a stream, a pond, a small waterfall, and lots of mud and puddles! Tons of places to climb, run, play.
Please leave your devices at home or keep them stowed away except for important calls - we love to enjoy nature without the pull of technology.
