Connect with nature, disconnect with everything else...
Turn to nature to switch off, find calm, and relax. Join us for a well-being experience in our beautiful beech woodland, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
'Forest bathing’ is a form of nature therapy that enables you to take in the forest through your senses.
Spending time in nature has been shown to have a positive effect on health and wellbeing and can boost your mood, mental health and life satisfaction. ‘Forest bathing’ is a form of nature therapy that enables you to take in the forest through your senses, in a way that invites you into the present moment.
Medical studies show that taking regular Forest Bathing sessions can boost your immune function, regulate stress hormones, increase energy levels and lower the severity of anxiety, depression, fatigue and anger (Qing Li (2018) Shinrin Yoku: The Art and Science of Forest Bathing).
Join us in the beautiful beech woodland at Path Hill for a two-hour Forest Bathing experience. Immerse yourself in the forest whilst taking a gentle, meaningful walk, allowing you to open up your senses, slow down and stay in the moment.
It is not a hike or nature expedition, and it is not swimming! The focus is on forming connections and relationships as you develop an appreciation for the healing power of nature.
You will be guided by our Path Hill instructors, Nicky and Selina, who will lead you through a series of activities to help you connect with nature and literally ‘come to your senses’. Leave your phone behind and respond to invitations from nature as they appear.
The session will end with a tea ceremony, using locally sourced fresh herbs, and time for reflection either alone or with the other participants.
🌳 Benefits of Being Outdoors and in a Group
Spending time outside and connecting with others adds another layer of healing:
- Mental health boost: Nature exposure reduces stress, anxiety, and depression
- Social connection: Group activities combat isolation and foster a sense of belonging
- Mood and motivation: Being with others can encourage regular participation and lift spirits
- Improved sleep and immunity: Fresh air and sunlight help regulate sleep and boost immune function
We are keen to encourage new people to come along and would welcome any enquiries if you have questions. You can email Vickie for more information.

The Cancer Support Network has been established to support people living in and around the Bracknell and Wokingham areas of Berkshire that are affected by cancer.
We are a community support cancer focused charity, offering a range of services.
Meeting other people with similar experiences can be invaluable. Self-help and support groups offer a chance for people to talk to others and come together to share experiences and concerns.
