Reinhard Kropfs foredrag vil gi gjenklang i den aktuelle utstillingen Grammars of Light. Gjennom hele utstillingen er verkene koreografert i dialog med den særegne arkitekturen til Astrup Fearnley Museet, en tilnærming som ligger tett opp til Kropfs arkitektoniske tenkning. Han vil reflektere rundt sin egen arkitektpraksis og drøfte hvordan rom skapes gjennom materialvalg, bærende konstruksjoner og atmosfæriske forhold. Foredraget vil åpne for en dialog mellom arkitektur og kunst, og belyser felles interesser knyttet til persepsjon, bevegelse og måtene miljøer oppleves og bebos på.
Arrangementet viderefører museets tradisjon med å invitere aktører fra andre kreative fagfelt for å utvide utstillingers tolkningsramme.
Foredraget finner sted i samlingsbygget, og holdes på engelsk.

Kropf’s lecture is resonant within the context of Grammars of Light. Throughout the exhibition, works are choreographed in dialogue with the distinct architecture of Astrup Fearnley Museet, an approach that closely parallels Kropf’s own architectural thinking. Rather than addressing the exhibition directly, Kropf will reflect on his own architectural practice, discussing how space is formed through material choices, structural systems, and atmospheric conditions. His contribution opens a conversation between architecture and art, highlighting shared concerns with perception, movement, and the ways environments are sensed and inhabited.
The event continues the museum’s tradition of inviting contributors from other creative fields to expand the interpretive framework of exhibitions.
The lecture takes place in the collection building and will be in English.
