We are excited to announce that Forbes Ave is holding a street party, and we are extending a warm welcome to our neighbours on Faraday St and nearby residents of Lansdowne Crescent to join the fun!This is a free, community-led event organised by your neighbours and proudly supported by the City of Hobart as part of the "My Street" initiative. This afternoon is all about bringing our local residents together, strengthening our community ties, and providing a relaxed space to get to know your neighbours—especially those you may not have had the chance to meet or chat with properly yet.
🍱 The Long Table Picnic
The heart of our celebration will be a community long table picnic. We’re inviting everyone to bring along a plate of food to enjoy as we sit down together right in the middle of the street.
🎶 Music, Activities & Local History
We are currently locking in local music and activities for all ages. To make the day uniquely "us," we are also planning activities that celebrate the history of our local area—including a nod to our historic rope-making past! Stay tuned as we finalise these details.

This Facebook page and a dedicated WhatsApp group will be used to provide updates, including important information regarding logistics and final schedules.
