About this Event
Learn how to forage safely and connect with the power of wild plants. Join us on a foraging and wild food walk, led by professional forager Myrtle Cooper and learn how to correctly identify wild edible plants and trees, their folklore history and modern day uses and about sustainable and responsible foraging.
This is booking for the 13:30 event, whihc involves some steep slopes and rough surfaces

What to bring:
- Warm, weather appropriate clothing, and sturdy footwear
- A drink of water
- Any Medic*tion that may be required (e.g. asthma inhaler, auto injector)
- Waterproofs
Meeting point:
We will meet at the entrance to the new accessible path on the opposite side of the Prince of Wales Road to the Bill Douglas Cinema/Roborough Building.

Accessibility:
The 13:30 talk we will start on the path but head into the Lower Hoopern Valley, where the ground is rough and slopes quite steep.
Note that there is an 11:00 talk which is fully accessible as on an accessible walking route where we will stay on the short (200m) accessible path (bound gravel, suitable for wheelchair users, bench for resting). PLease book onto that event if you would like a fully accessible experience.
There are no toilets on site, however there are several nearby on campus.
Cancellation:
Please make sure you give us an email address. We will go out in light rain/drizzle, but if we have to cancel due to weather/unforeseen circumstances, we will let you know by 10am the day before.
If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible, as we have limited spaces, and a waiting list.
