Origins and Purpose
Rooted firmly in a culture of collaboration launching first as a subscription box company with other small businesses, the festival was officially launchd and established in 2022 by Riadh Falvo of Bumble & Oak Co, a Cambridge-based chocolatier. The festival was first conceived to showcase the craftsmanship of local chocolatiers and bakers, and to educate the public about chocolate's rich history and cultural significance. the main event has always taken place over Valentine’s Weekend - a celebration of our LOVE for creativity and in support of those with an entrepreneurial spirit!
For the LOVE of Indies
Going into its fourth year, the festival is both embracing its Valentine’s roots, and expanding its offering to include more art in collaboration with The Cambridge Art’s Festival, and to showcase and promote more artisan lead independent businesses.
The Festival has always aimed to offer a marketplace for new and upcoming businesses to test their ideas, share their wares, and for merchants to share their personal favourites with the public in a collaborative setting.
Logo Contest
For the third year since its conception, the festival will be running a Logo Contest, inviting all artists whether students and/or professionals to pitch their ideas for a logo for the festival. These are shortlisted to 5 potential winners, who are then invited to join the festival with a FREE to showcase, sell their work, create art throughout the day and accept commissions.
