For Purpose After Hours with Mark Fitzpatrick, Group CEO, PeopleKind Group
Live Recording · Comedy Lounge, Perth WA · Wednesday 16 July 2026

Real opinions welcome. PR polish not. Not a room full of strangers — not after the first drink.

Some leaders have something to say.

Not a talking point. Not a prepared statement. Not the version their communications team approved.

A genuine view. A hard-won perspective. An opinion about their industry, their world, and the people they serve — and the conviction to say it out loud, in a room full of people who will push back, lean in, and leave thinking differently.

Mark Fitzpatrick is that leader.

As Group CEO of PeopleKind Group, Mark has spent his career at the intersection of people, purpose, and the relentless pursuit of better. He leads one of Western Australia's most respected human services organisations — and he has things to say about where the sector is, where it needs to go, and what it truly takes to lead with conviction when the stakes are this high.

On Wednesday 15 July, he's pulling up a chair and saying them out loud.

What Is For Purpose After Hours?

For Purpose After Hours is a live, unscripted interview series in Perth. Every event brings one leader onto a stage for an honest, on-the-record conversation — in front of a room of senior professionals from across Perth's business, NFP, government, health, and community sectors.

Two chairs. One guest. One hour. No slides. No lectern. No spin.

A free-flowing, semi-structured conversation that explores leadership, purpose, and the ideas that matter, hosted by Dev Singh, one of Western Australia's most respected podcast hosts with over 130 published conversations to his name.

Dev asks the questions the room wants answered, and the room gets to ask a few of its own.

Our guests come from any industry, any background. What they share is this: a strong point of view, a story that shaped it, and the willingness to say things the sector needs to hear, in public, on the record, with a room full of people who take it seriously.

About Our Guest — Mark Fitzpatrick

Mark Fitzpatrick is the Group CEO of PeopleKind Group and joined the organisation in November 2024. Prior to this, Mark was the CEO of Telethon Speech and Hearing for over seven years and was the CEO of the St Vincent de Paul Society in Western Australia for five years. After graduating from Curtin University with a Commerce degree, Mark has worked in a variety of roles in a range of not-for-profit, education, and government organisations.

Mark has a strong interest in community development and continues to play several roles in supporting the not-for-profit sector. He is a Director of Child Australia and, until recently, was the Chair of the Board of First Voice, Deputy President of the Deafness Council, and a member of the Executive of the Hearing Health Sector Alliance. He has been the Deputy Chair of Workpower, a member of the UWA Centre for Social Impact’s Advisory Council, Board member of the Alchemist Foundation, a past-President of Edventures WA Inc, and was the Vice President of the Western Australian Council of Social Service – a position he held for six years.
