Come celebrate the holidays with this festive tatting class designed for past students of Kevin's Beginning Tatting classes. Elevate your tatting skills to create an heirloom tatted Snowflake! Hang them on Christmas tree branches on wreaths during the holiday season; dress up holiday packages or table centerpieces. They make delightful gifts!Students will need to know the shuttle tatting basics: the double stitch, and how to create and connect rings and picots. Under Kevin's guidance, students will begin their holiday projects. Choose one from several snowflakes, from easy to advanced! Learn to finish and block your snowflake.
The fee for the class is $45.00.
SUPPLIES TO BRING:
Small scissors, tatting shuttle, #12/#14 steel crochet hook, and #10/#20 cordonnet thread in white and a color of your choosing. A large-eye needle is useful for finishing. All supplies are available at the museum shop
INSTRUCTOR:
Kevin is a freelance professional singer with Bay Area groups like Clerestory and Endersnight. He learned tatting to keep the tradition alive and as a creative activity that could be done while traveling.
