Footprints Jazz ClubSidney and Matilda
Third Thursday of the Month.
Leeds based saxophonist and flautist Matt Cliffe brings a fresh set of new compositions inspired by improvised and traditional music from around the world. His band features; Hugh Vincent piano, Elliot Roffe bass and Will Blackstone drums. He has notably been part of Matthew Halsalls band since 2018 performing across Europe as well as featuring on releases such as ‘Salute to the Sun’ and ‘An Ever Changing View’. Other artists Matt has appeared with are Jasmine Myra, Abstract Orchestra, and K.O.G.
Alongside this, emerging from the Sheffield jazz and improvised scene and with an established yet always developing sound, Assembly Trio's music is rooted in contemporary jazz. Interactive and vibrant but also contemplative; expect spaciousness & exploration
