Foothills annually invites a prominent public speaker to share an uplifting message with our community. Past speakers have included Dr. Benjamin Carson, Jace and Missy Robertson, Tim Tebow, Mike Huckabee, Oliver North, T. C. Stallings, Trey Gowdy, David and Jason Benham, Kevin Sorbo, Kayleigh McEnany, Eric Metaxas, and many others. This year, we've invited Dr. Kathy Koch to speak at our spring banquet!Dr. Kathy Koch (pronounced cook), and her ministry, Celebrate Kids, Inc., are dedicated to inspiring parents, grandparents, and those who work with children, teens, and young adults to celebrate kids the way Jesus did and still does and to nurture them to develop a convinced identity in Jesus Christ.
Dr. Kathy’s influence is renowned, impacting parents, educators, and children through her compelling keynote addresses, workshops, and spiritual engagements for churches, schools, and organizations. Kirk Cameron chose her to be an expert in two documentary movies and her articulate discussions are frequently featured on platforms like Focus on the Family, Moody Radio, and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Dr. Kathy has written 7 books for Moody Publishers. She earned a PhD in reading and educational psychology from Purdue University and was a professor, coach, teacher, and school board member all before founding Celebrate Kids. Her most important identity is being a follower of Jesus Christ and she has woven her deep love for Jesus and her commitment to glorifying God into the fabric of her mission.
