Foot Washing Ceremony

Silence your phones upon arrival. Do Not attempt conversation with others during the event, please wait until after.

Do Not Video, Record, nor Photograph any part of the event. As you will see on the google form, some attendees may not give media permission, and so the Host is the only one who will be responsible for who may or may not be on camera, etc. (Afterwards feel free, yet be sure not to include another person unless you have their permission!)
Do Not Attend If:
-You have any open wounds, anywhere on your body. (cross-contamination preventive measures)
-You have a fever, upper respiratory illness/cold, persistent cough/ sneezing, or anything contagious.
-You're uncomfortable with your feet touching grass and some dirt.
-You're uncomfortable with giving/receiving foot wash with someone of a different gender than your own.
Do Not Wear:
-Perfume/perfumed lotion, etc on your wrists, hands, nor feet. ( In consideration of others who may have sensitive skin. ) Soap and water will be available to cleanse in case.
-Inappropriate clothing. Dressing modestly keeps the attention on the purpose of the event.

Info: Host will greet you and ask a few questions, to ensure proper seating arrangement. You'll then be seated, yet please be aware its possible you could be moved again if any changes occur among attendees. (Don't worry, we wont start a game of musical chairs!) Once you are seated, please put your phone on silent and do not attempt conversation with other attendees. Info: Only 1 foot washing will occur at a time, so all attendees may appreciate the moment and better share the experience together. Pairs will switch (the washer will then be washed). Info: After everyone has had their turn, we will have time for silent reflection. Do not attempt conversation with other attendees while still in the ceremony area. Utilizing this time for journaling/silent prayer/silent meditation is encouraged. Host will be off to the side to thank you and say bye when you're ready.
