Fool’s Mate is an indie, jazz, funk fusion band based out of Brooklyn, NY. Kat Bel’s soulful voice and skillful songwriting are a natural complement to the dynamic and inspired playing of Jeremy Kauffman. The two can, and will, take you from somber introspection to high-energy grooving on a dime, all while maintaining the melody-driven thread they will certainly come to be known for. Their genre-bending tendencies have you prepared for a smooth jazz ballad only to catch yourself dancing energetically to an upbeat funk groove moments later. While they are new on the scene you should be watching out for them as you will start to hear of them more and more in the coming months.
