About this Event
FOODSAFE Level 1 is a food handling, sanitation and work safety course designed for front line food service workers such as cooks, servers, bussers, dishwashers, and deli workers.
It is delivered as an eight-hour face-to-face class 8:30am-4:30pm with flexible breaks and a 1 hr lunch.
Topics include foodborne illnesses, receiving and storing food, preparing food, serving food, cleaning and sanitizing.
After successful completion of the Foodsafe level 1 course the instructor will apply for each participants IHA issued certificate (4-6 weeks mailout). Interim completion certificates will be made available.
This certification looks great on a resume and is useful for those that may wish to serve food at events.
