About this Event
Join us for a milestone moment on the Lower East Side.
After 25+ years of our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) at the Sixth Street Community Center, we are launching a new partnership with the BQE (BIPOC Queer Expressway) — a farmer-led coalition of 16+ small farms across the Hudson Valley, the Catskills, and the Capital Region.
This partnership was made possible by Mayor Mamdani's Office of Urban Agriculture.
What to expect at this Kickoff Event:
- Meet farmers from BQE growing your food
- Sample seasonal produce and connect with neighbors
- Learn how to sign up for a 2026 CSA share
- Celebrate 25+ years of CSA on the LES
Who's invited: CSA members, neighbors, elected officials, press, BQE farmers, and community partners.
"BQE is about changing the way food is distributed — for us, by us, and from us." — Karen Washington, Founder
