McLennan County Master Gardeners Nancee Siebert and Laynie Miller will explore with you the ins and outs of food preservation from simple freezing or dehydrating to canning and freeze-drying. They will discuss the basic procedures, what tools do you need, dos & don’t and how long they will last. They will also have samples of each process to view or taste.
Nancy has been a Master Food Preserver since 2011 and Master Gardener since 2012, starting in California and now in Texas as a Master Gardener since 2022. Laynie has been a Master Gardener since 2016 and has enjoyed home canning and freeze drying for many years. Mark your calendar so you don’t miss this event!
