Food is Ritual

To celebrate Issue 07: Food is Ritual, Serviette is hosting more than a launch party. This issue dives into the offerings, superstitions, and memories surrounding what, and how we eat. In honour of food’s uncanny abilities, we wanted to do things a little differently. Join us for an evening of reverence and revelry that celebrates the magic of food and its many rites.

Here’s what we’re cooking up for the night:

• An altar made entirely of cheese and other tasty treats, included with your ticket.
• A cheese fortune teller who will read your future from the cracks, veins, and patterns in those delicious hunks. As featured in Issue 07, Jennifer Billock, The Kitchen Witch and world’s only tyromancer, will read your fortune based on cheeses you pick from the altar. Space is limted, so be sure to grab one of the available Zoom sessions when you purchase a ticket. Readings for only one or two people at a time. Look for "Add-Ons" when buying you ticket to book your spot.
• Aura photography from Rose Aura. Looking for a little mystical guidance? Photographer Evelyn Salvarinas will be getting metaphysical, and you can take home a snap of the energy spectrum that surrounds you. Also limited spance, so grab a spot while you still can. Photos are taken of one person at a time. Look for "Add-Ons" when buying you ticket to book your spot.
