This workshop is being led by Maria Haisley (RD/LDN) of Renew Nutrition Therapy.
Food, Hormones, and the Midlife Metabolism is a supportive, dietitian‑led workshop for women navigating perimenopause and menopause. This session blends approachable hormone education with practical, real‑food nutrition strategies to boost metabolism, muscle tone, and steady energy - without restriction or overwhelm.
Participants will explore midlife metabolism, blood sugar balance, protein needs, hormone‑supportive foods, key supplements, stress and cortisol, and simple lifestyle habits for long‑term vitality. Expect an engaging, hands‑on experience with real‑food examples, take‑home resources, and guidance that supports menopause and beyond.
$25 drop-in.
Maria Haisley is a licensed and registered dietitian nutritionist (RD/LDN) with over 15 years of experience in the health and wellness field. Maria graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics. Since being in North Carolina she has worked as a consulting dietitian and recently returned back to work after taking time away to spend at home with her 2 growing children.
Outside of work she enjoys yoga, being active with her family, their busy dog and weekends out on the water! She also enjoys cooking, reading and living as holistic of a lifestyle as she can.
Maria has endured her own health journey as well. After finding the right doctors and team of health professionals (including a dietitian) she finally got the help and support she needed. After allowing her body proper time to detox, heal, and repair, she started to feel like herself again. It was during this time she truly experienced the healing power of food as medicine.
Maria knows the feeling of “rock bottom” and the support it takes to get back up. She’s here to be a part of that support for you.
