HELP FEED THE HUNGRY IN CENTRAL TEXAS!Food For Families is an annual project for the Longhorn Council, Scouting America; H-E-B; and KWTX News 10. Together with food pantries all across Central Texas, this one-day food drive collects non-perishable food and stocks the shelves of area food banks and pantries beyond the holiday season.
Food For Families benefits 11 food pantries from across the Waco-McLennan County area:

Caritas of Waco
Carver Park Baptist Church
Church of the Open Door
Crestview Church of Christ
Family of Faith Worship Center
Robinson Food Pantry
Shepherd's Heart
Shepherd's Heart of Lorena
The Salvation Army
Ways to Participate:
1. Collect Food as an Individual
Gather your friends and family to collect non-perishable food items and drop them off at the KWTX Studio on Friday, November 21st.
2. Participate in the Chairperson's Cup Competition
Your business, organization, church, or club can be part of a food drive and donation competition for a chance to win a prize! Each group participates in its selected class on a per capita basis—business to business, students to students, volunteers to volunteers—to prove it can donate the most nonperishable food and/or monetary donations.
