Food Bank Summer Tesco Collection

It has never been so critical that food banks are able to support those in need, and with the support of our fantastic partner Tesco, you will give your local food bank a boost in food, funding, and awareness that will help us carry out our mission for a Hunger Free Future!

Key tasks

• Greeting customers
• Offering advice, shopping lists and leaflets on the best items to donate
• Engaging with customers to raise awareness about the food bank
• Receiving food donations
• Thanking customers and explaining where their donation is going
• Sorting food ready for delivery back to the food bank
• Loading and unloading of the collection van
• Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed

Impact of your role

• Maximising food donations to the food bank
• Raising awareness of the food bank in your local community

Please note that all volunteers must be over the age of 18.
