Folk Song Jam Along – April 1, 2026
April’s full moon — known as the Pink Moon — marks the arrival of spring and the first blooms of the season. This year, it rises on April 1 — no fooling!
April is also National Poetry Month...and, well, songs are just poetry we sing together.
So, join us under the rising Pink Moon and let's sing together and celebrate the poetry in the songs we love.
Date: April 1, 2026
Time: 6:00pm
Location: Westgate AADL
What is Folk Song Jam Along?
It’s a monthly, all-ages community gathering where we sing and play music purely for fun. No rehearsals, no sheet music, no pressure—just an open, welcoming space to make music together. Whether you’re a confident musician or just love to sing in good company, you’re welcome here!
How does it work?
You pick from our ever-growing list of 300+ songs, spanning everything from folk classics to pop favorites. We put the lyrics and chords on the screen, and together, we bring the music to life. Acoustic instruments and voices are encouraged!
From folk poets like Joni, Dylan, and Carole King to moon-lit melodies (by the light of the silvery moon…), expect songs that tell stories, spark memories, and pull you into singing along.
Bring a friend, bring your instrument, or just bring yourself — and let’s have some fun.
Led by Jean Chorazyczewski, Lori Fithian, and YOU!
