Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert on the first Friday lunchtime of each month at 12.30pm at St John’s Church, Midsomer Norton: a 45-minute concert of mainly classical music, introduced by the performers. There is a pop-up café from midday where you can meet friends for a chat before the concert. April-May’s music is a collection of pieces based on folk tunes and idioms: English (Butterworth: The Banks of Green Willow) and Irish (Joan Trimble Phantasy Trio) feature, but alongside these are a few surprises!
Concerts last c45mins. Refreshments - tea, coffee & Rosemary's delicious home-made cakes - are on sale half an hour before the concert. There's no need to book, though an RVSP via our website is appreciated…turn up early for best choice of seat, and maybe bring a cushion for the pew.
