Foil the Bay is a fundraising ride across the Chesapeake Bay led by Jason Brown and Patrick Devine, owners of Green Wave Watersports, in support of the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.We are planning to ride 19 miles from Buckroe Beach to Kiptopeke State Park and are asking for $19 sponsorships to help raise money for families in our community facing food insecurity. That said, any donation amount truly helps, and we appreciate every bit of support.
The ride is currently planned for May 19, weather permitting. While this is not an event we are expecting people to attend, anyone who would like to see us off or follow along on the bay is certainly welcome.
Most importantly, this is about helping us spread the word and raise support. Even if you cannot be there, sharing this effort and helping us reach more people would mean a lot. We are hoping to do something meaningful for a great cause and exceed our fundraising goal if possible.
