About this Event
Have your say on Parkinson’s support in Leicester
Do you or someone close to you, have experience of Parkinson’s?
The African Heritage Alliance is inviting people from racialised communities in Leicester to take part in a small, supportive discussion to help improve Parkinson’s support in our city.
Parkinson’s is often under-recognised and not openly discussed in our communities. We want to hear from people who truly understand the reality, your experiences, challenges, and what support would actually make a difference.
We are looking for people with direct or close experience of Parkinson’s, including:
• People living with Parkinson’s
• Family members or carers supporting someone with Parkinson’s
• Community leaders or health advocates who support affected families
Your insights will help shape future services so they are culturally informed, accessible, and built around real community needs — not assumptions.
Session dates:
Wednesday 25 March — 10am to 12pm
Tuesday 14 April — 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Light refreshments provided.
Safe, respectful space.
Share only what you feel comfortable sharing.
If you cannot attend in person, an online survey will also be available so your voice can still be heard.
