About this Event
Kevin Peter He, a Brooklyn-based media artist and former creative director of the mixed reality studio ZeroSpace, will lead a presentation and live demo exploring the creative processes behind real-time 3D cinema. Through insights from his expansive body of work – ranging from music videos and immersive installations to live audiovisual performances – Kevin will share his methods for merging game engine technology with cinematic storytelling and live music.
This interactive session explores the theory and practice of real-time 3D storytelling as a performative medium, taking the audience behind the scenes to reveal how virtual cameras, dynamic 3D environments, and AI-driven agents come together to create a new dimension of digital cinema. Join us for this journey into the cutting-edge intersection of cinema and game design in USC's IMAX theatre and Immersive Media Lab.
