Join us for an afternoon of expressive lyricism and dazzling virtuosity with flutist Amy I‑Yun Tu and pianist Yevgeny Morozov. The program spans a vibrant musical landscape, featuring Austrian-Hungarian composer of 19th Century, Franz Doppler, the vivid contemporary voice of American composer Amanda Harberg, and the spirited neoclassical charm of 20th Century Hungarian composer, Ferenc Farkas. The recital also highlights the sweeping Romantic colors of Franz Liszt.
A special centerpiece of the afternoon is the work by Edgar Girtain, a New Jersey–born composer currently teaching in Colorado, whose music blends contemporary imagination with heartfelt storytelling.
A program of color, history, and artistry—beautifully crafted for audiences of all ages.
