Fluid art is an abstract style of painting where paint is poured directly onto a canvas, creating a unique and organic, free flowing design which can then be manipulated using various tools and techniques to achieve different effects.So if you love abstract art and colour, or just want to learn a fun and easy new way of relaxing, this workshop is for you!
Fluid art is ideal for those who think 'I'm not very creative'. With the organic nature of this process, the paint will do a lot of the hard work for you, ' Classes are kept simple and easy to follow so it's perfect for those ‘non-creatives,’ as well as ‘creatives’ who want to develop a new skill.
Classes are kept relaxed and fun and previous class members have enjoyed the engaging nature of the small group environment where people connect over the shared joy of fluid art.
Fluid art is perfect for mindfulness as it encourages us to focus on the flow and movement of the paint and interaction of the colours as the painting develops, keeping us present the moment and creating a calm amidst the chaos.
Mindful Art is a great tool for anyone suffering from Anxiety or Depression or even Chronic Pain. I am personally affected by chronic pain and I have found that using art in mindfulness has greatly helped manage my pain.
Workshops run for approximately 2.5hours and the cost is inclusive of all materials and refreshments. You will have the opportunity to create two canvas paintings and will be shown several different techniques that you can use. Following the workshop, you will have your own artwork to display in your home to remind you every day, to stay mindful.
During the Mindful Art workshops, we cover various fluid art techniques and use these to practice mindfulness. You will be guided through some different techniques and shown how different effects that can be achieved by using various tools and methods, before giving you the opportunity to pour your own creations.
You will also be given the option to have a piece of high quality, one of a kind jewellery created just for you using the same paint as your own painting.
Class participant generally leave feeling relaxed, having had a fun experience at the same time!
