This 4-week watercolor series is centered on flower close-ups, with each week focusing on a different bloom and specific skills to develop. In each class you’ll learn how to layer translucent washes for luminous petals, use wet-into-wet techniques for soft color transitions, and apply dry brushwork to add crisp details and texture.
Week 1: Wednesday, May 6th 12-3PM
A Delicate Rose: We'll focus on capturing the translucency of rose petals without overworking and achieving smooth, and velvety wet-on-wet transitions in each petal.
Week 2: Wednesday, May 13th 12-3PM
A Vibrant Sunflower: We'll keep the petals lively with bold colors, geometrical shapes, and textural contrast as you create a dramatic sunflower painting.

Week 3: Wednesday, May 20th 12-3PM
An Elegant Orchid: We'll work with delicate color shifts of whites, pinks, & purples to highlight the orchid shape & explore fine detailing and focal points in this beautiful close-up..​
Week 4: Wednesday, May 27th 12-3PM
The Dramatic Daisy: We'll showcase the bold petal shapes, & use shadows to bring dimension, as we experiment with splatter & salt for background texture.
