Join Rochester Main Street as we prepare one of downtown’s most visible beautification projects of the year — planting the flower barrels that will be placed throughout Downtown Rochester.Each spring, volunteers gather at Studley Flower Gardens to plant the flower barrels that will later be displayed along Main Street and throughout the downtown district. These barrels are planted at Studley Flower Gardens and then cared for by them for several weeks so the plants can become well established before being placed throughout downtown.
Volunteers are invited to come lend a hand. The process is simple and usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour, and it’s a great way to make a visible impact on the appearance of our downtown.
What to bring:
• Gloves
• Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
This is a fun and easy way to support Rochester Main Street and directly contribute to improving the beauty of downtown Rochester. Rochester Main Street is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to preserving, enhancing, and promoting the vitality of downtown Rochester through projects like this.
